On Saturday night I saw The New Pornographers perform at the Annual
"Snowed In" concert at the Pyramid Brewery. Ironically (or is it?),
there was no snow. This was the joke butt of all the stage banter that
night "We come from a much warmer place, it's cold here." Anyway, they
were really good, even though it felt short. I took great pics and
I'll have them up soon. There was tons of snowboarding schwag there
and I picked up some cool stickers and posters to bring for my lil'
bro.
That was the second Canadian supergroup I saw in as many Saturdays, as
Broken Social Scene rocked my world last weekend.
This Wednesday after work, Jenn and I are heading to coastal Southern
Oregon for Thanksgiving (US). Jenn's best friends parents live there
and it's an annual tradition for her. It's gonna be a blast with some
smoked salmon that I hear is the bomb. I hear that they live it up a
lot more than we do in the great white North. Why is it so close to
Christmas though? Turkey addicts!
I haven't booked a flight home yet but I will hopefully this week. I'm
looking forwarding to seeing who I can in the holiday season.
